A dog is seriously ill after eating potentially contaminated breadcrumbs in the Herefordshire area.
Edward Busk (West Mercia Police, PCSO, SNT Hereford Northside) confirmed the news in a post on the West Mercia Police Neighbourhood Watch page.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police (Hereford Northside) said:
“We have received reports of potentially contaminated bread crumbs in the area.
“Dead seagulls have been identified as well a a dog becoming seriously ill after having ingested said breadcrumbs.
“Can all dog walkers please be mindful when walking in this area to ensure their pets do not ingest discarded food items in this area.”
