93.7% of those aged 80+ years old in Herefordshire and Worcestershire have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

In total, 46,266 first doses have been administered to over 80’s in both counties. This is much higher than the rest of England, with only Gloucestershire recording a higher percentage of vaccinations in this age group. However, less impressive is the number that have received their second dose of the vaccine, with just 1.8% of over 80’s in Herefordshire & Worcestershire receiving a second dose at present. In total 879 over 80’s have been fully vaccinated with both doses.

The rollout of the first dose of the vaccine continues to escalate amongst those aged over 70 in both Herefordshire and Worcestershire, with 90.9% of over 75’s now receiving their first dose and 32.9% of those aged over 70 receiving their first dose.

In total, across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, a total of 144,970 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
