A Herefordshire school has issued an urgent message to all parents, with a closure in place this morning.

Update – 9.40am:

“The issue with the fire alarm has been fixed and school will re-open today at 10.30am.

“School lunches are being prepared by the kitchen as normal for those who have ordered on School Grid.”

Earlier Update:

Leominster Primary School shared the following message:

“Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to close the school this morning.

“This is due to a fire alarm fault.

“An engineer is coming first thing to try to resolve the issue so we may be able to open later this morning or this afternoon.

“We are really sorry for the inconvenience but the health and safety of staff and pupils is our priority.

“We will have to rearrange the year 1 and 2 sports day.”
