There are a number of flood alerts in force across Herefordshire, with rivers rising following heavy rainfall.

The flood alerts are in place on the River Lugg, River Leadon Catchment and River Frome. 

River Lugg: Locations that may be affected include Yarpole, Mortimers Cross, Kingsland, the B4362, Stoke Prior,  Mordiford, Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop.

River Frome: Locations that may be affected by flooding include Bromyard, Bishops Frome and Yarkhill.

River Leadon Catchment: Locations that may be affected include Ledbury, Much Marcle, Staunton and Tibberton.

Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.

Some roads are also affected by flooding, these include Lower Bullingham Lane in Hereford, where a woman has been rescued from floodwater this morning.

A Met Office warning for heavy rain remains in place across Herefordshire until this evening.

Heavy rain will affect parts of southern England, South Wales and the southwest Midlands during Monday. 

20-30 mm of rain falling widely with a few places seeing as much as 40-60 mm.
