A woman has been rescued from floodwater  in Hereford this morning. 

The woman was rescued from floodwater in the Bullingham Lane (South Wye) area of the city.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews are understood to have carried out the rescue.

The lane has now been cordoned off and members of the public are advised to avoid the area.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.

There were also delays on the A49 near Asda roundabout earlier, due to flooding this morning. This has now been cleared.

Further heavy rain is expected this afternoon.
