It is being reported that seven people have been detained following a security incident on an oil tanker off the Isle of Wight.
UK special forces were said to have been involved in dealing with an ongoing incident on board a tanker.
The crude oil tanker, the Liberian-registered Nave Andromeda, is known to have stowaways on board and was due to dock in Southampton earlier.
Police said earlier that verbal threats had been made to the crew of the Nave Andromeda but no one had been reported injured.
The incident is now said to be over and Hampshire Police are expected to release a statement shortly.
