UPDATE | Great Western Way closed between Belmont Road and Escley Drive.
A section of the Great Western Way footpath in Hereford is cordoned off this afternoon.
According to a member of the public, the footpath is currently closed near the bridge that passes over Belmont Road.
The route is popular with pedestrians and cyclists and Your Herefordshire has approached West Mercia Police for further details.
