A road remains closed and several businesses have been told that they will have to remain closed today, following a police incident in a Herefordshire market town.
West Mercia Police officers have cordoned off New Street in Ledbury, from the roundabout to the Top Cross junction. The road closure is expected to remain in place for some time and businesses in the area have been told that they must remain closed.
Residents reported seeing a large police presence in the town overnight on the Voice of Ledbury Facebook group and one member of the public reported seeing a man getting arrested near the Tesco superstore in the town, but it’s unknown at this stage whether the arrest was connected to the incident.
We have approached West Mercia Police for further details.
