A woman has been rescued from the River Wye by a passer by in Hereford this morning.
Members of the public reported seeing a large emergency services response near the River Wye at around 11.30am this morning.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Hereford & Worcester Fire Stations, plus the water first responders from Leominster and boat crews from Hereford & Worcester were called to a rescue from water at Victoria Bridge, Hereford at 11:30 on 17 June.
“A woman has been rescued from the water by a passer-by and was handed over to the care of the ambulance service who attended along with the police and air ambulance.
“The incident was marked as ‘stop’ at 11:51.”
