Welsh Water has issued an urgent message to residents living in one area of Herefordshire this evening, with reports that there are issues with the water supply.
Residents living in the Broad Oak, Garway and Welsh Newton Common area have been sent the following message from Welsh Water:
“We have set up a bottled water station for collection. If you need to collect bottled water, please visit Garway Moon Inn, Garway HR2 8RQ.
“We’re aware that customers in this area may have no water or low pressure.
“We expect all supplies to be fully restored by later tonight.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
It comes just hours after residents living in Herefordshire and parts of mid Wales were urged to avoid wasting water.
A message sent to residents said:
“We’re experiencing very high demand for water due to the warm weather, particularly in the Hereford and Ledbury areas of the country.
“When the weather’s this warm, we all use more water.
“We’ll be doing everything we can to keep your water flowing, but we need your help, particularly over the next few days.
“Please use all the water you need but help save what you can by not wasting it.”
