Major Rail Disruption Between Hereford and Newport as Services Cancelled.
Passengers travelling between Hereford and Newport are facing significant disruption today, with the majority of rail services cancelled and replacement buses being arranged.
National Rail has confirmed that signalling staff being unavailable in the Abergavenny area is causing widespread disruption to journeys through the station. As a result, a number of train services have been cancelled or revised throughout the day.
Rail replacement transport is currently being organised to assist affected passengers, although delays are expected as operators work to manage the disruption.

“Signalling staff being unavailable in the Abergavenny area is causing disruption to journeys through this station. Trains will be cancelled or revised.”
The disruption is expected to continue until 6pm today.
Passengers are being urged to check the status of their service before travelling and allow extra time for their journey.
