A man has been arrested following an incident involving a firearm that occurred in the early hours of this morning.
At around 4:30am this morning Police were conducting an area search for a disturbed man.
He was found by Malvern officers at Malvern Link Train Station where the male produced a firearm.
The man who is in his 30s fled the scene but was later located and arrested by firearms officers.
The man is currently in Police custody and there is an investigation ongoing.
There will be a strong Police presence in the area today with officers conducting reassurance patrols.
Police would like to stress that this is an isolated incident and although a report of a firearm is likely to cause alarm, the threat has been negated and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
