It has been confirmed that London will enter Tier 2 (High) COVID-19 restrictions from Saturday.
This means that people living in the capital will be banned from meeting people from other households indoors, whether that’s in their home or in a pub.
People living in London have also been advised to avoid public transport and reduce the number of journeys they make where possible.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has been calling for increased restrictions in the capital for some time after a rise in cases and hospitalisations.
