Herefordshire & Ludlow College confirm that a student has tested positive for COVID-19.

We can confirm that a student at the College’s Hereford campus has tested positive for Covid 19. We would like to reassure our students, parents and carers that we are working very closely with the West Midlands Health Protection Team to manage the situation. Swift action has been taken to identify the student’s close contacts who have all been asked to stay at home and self-isolate for 14 days. Those affected will continue to be taught during this period through a series of online lessons.

The College remains open for all other learners. We would like to remind students not to attend College if they have any of the symptoms associated with Covid 19. They should inform their tutor immediately and arrange to be tested as soon as possible.

The College has introduced a range of measures to help protect students and staff. These include, hand hygiene stations in all rooms, the mandatory use of face coverings in communal areas, socially distanced classrooms and timetables that limit contacts by creating course ‘bubbles’.
