70% of adults across Herefordshire have now received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, latest data from Public Health England has confirmed.

It total, 84.7% of adults across Herefordshire have now received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with 70% of all adults receiving both doses. However, the rollout is running at different paces depending on where you live in the county. In Hereford East (Tupsley), over 90% of adults have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with 77.5% receiving both doses. This is higher than the Penyard, Llangarron & Goodrich area, where 78.7% have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 64.3% have received both doses. The slowest rollout however is in Hereford Central where 76.4% of adults have received a first dose and just 58.6% of adults have received a second dose. This is closely followed by Hereford South West (Newton Farm & Hunderton) where 78.2% have received a first dose and just 59.4% have received a second dose.

Walk in appointments will be available for residents looking to receive a first or second dose in Herefordshire this week, with a list available on our Facebook page later this morning.

The fact that 70% of adults in Herefordshire are now fully vaccinated is a big factor in the fact that hospitalisations in Herefordshire remain low, despite 600 cases of COVID-19 being recorded in a recent seven day period.

In total in the United Kingdom, 88% of all adults have now received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with 70.3% of all adults receiving a second dose according to data released by Public Health England.
