Are you somebody that loves a walk in the countryside with family or friends? Perhaps you enjoy going birdwatching? Well Olchon Valley is somewhere you just have to visit!

The Olchon Valley runs northwest from Longtown and forms the most eastern valley of the Black Mountains.

The views can only be described as unbelievable and we have to thank Phill Shellam for sharing the featured photo with us, because it certainly got us interested in looking into the area and what it has to offer!

To the east the valley is the Black Hill (known as The Cat’s Back).

The Herefordshire Ornithological Club have some great information on the type of bird species that you are likely to see when visiting the Olchon Valley. They also detail some of the walks that you can take. For more details visit – https://herefordshirebirds.org/county-sites/olchon-valley/
