Despite months of lockdown, two young women from Herefordshire, Audrie Schneller & Issy Timmerman have gained the top award from Girlguiding – The Queens Guide Award.
Both have challenged themselves with an impressive range of goals and have learnt so many new life skills on the way. From participating in Brownie and Guide residential events, to gaining confidence from long distance running & learning how to ice skate, to introducing Lacrosse to young children, to exploring mental health issues in the community and hosting a skiing expedition in Banff, Canada.
Said County Commissioner, Sue Bucknell “These are two truly inspirational young women who in such difficult circumstances have achieved so much. Girlguiding Herefordshire is very proud of have them as members”.
Three long years of hardwork have culminated in a virtual presentation with friends and family to hear more about their achievement.
