As Redline Telecom help more and more businesses prepare for the 2025 traditional telephone network switch-off and upgrade them to VoIP phone systems the company has noticed that lots of old telephone systems are going to waste and often just get thrown away.

To help combat this wastage they have decided to offer all businesses up to £500 towards their old telephone system when upgrading to VoIP so that they can recycle or re-use their old system elsewhere.

As part of this Redline Telecom have decided that whatever amount they are able to offer for the old telephone system they will then match this amount with a donation to their chosen charity. Herefordshire Headway, who have been a customer of Redline Telecom for a number of years now do some absolutely fantastic work throughout Herefordshire which a lot of people are not aware of. Redline Telecom feel this is a great opportunity to help boost awareness of their work alongside their campaign to ensure all local businesses are prepared for the 2025 traditional telephone network switch-off.

A spokesperson for Redline Telecom said:

“Our aim is simple, to raise as much money as possible for Herefordshire Headway in conjunction with helping as many local businesses as possible make the switch to VoIP and prepare for 2025! Not only will this help cut down on the wastage of old telephone systems but the money will be going towards a fantastic cause. We will accumulate any money we raise throughout 2022 with the aim of making the donation to Herefordshire Headway in December 2022.

“Herefordshire Headway are a local charity who do excellent work providing services to adults (18+) who have a head injury or an acquired brain injury. Based in Headway House Wellbeing Centre in Credenhill, Hereford, Herefordshire Headway’s main aim is to provide support and rehabilitation to members through their centre, outreach and online services. A head or brain injury can affect the whole family and the charity offer specific support services for carers and family members to help deal with the ongoing support for the injury.

“As we help more and more businesses prepare for the 2025 traditional telephone network switch-off and upgrade them to VoIP phone systems we have noticed that lots of old telephone systems are going to waste and often just get thrown away. To help combat this wastage we have been offering all businesses up to £500 towards their old telephone system when upgrading to VoIP so that we can recycle or re-use their old system elsewhere. As part of this we have been matching the amount with a donation to Herefordshire Headway.

“To help with the fundraising we are now also doing a sponsored walk on the week of the 19th September 2022 up the Cefyn yr Ystrad mountain in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The mountain just happens to be 2025 feet high which fits very appropriately with our aim of spreading the message about the 2025 traditional telephone network switch-off!

“Not only will the Redline team be climbing the mountain though, we will also be temporarily relocating our office to the base of the mountain for the day, demonstrating the fantastic remote working functionality that VoIP telephony offers ahead of the 2025 switch. The team will climb the mountain in two separate groups, allowing the other half of the team to continue working as normal (well kind of!) at the base of the mountain using VoIP mobile apps and 4G mobile broadband!”
