Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue shared some sad news over the weekend. Many people that have visited them over the years will have met Kevin the resident peacock.
A post on Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue’s Facebook Page said:
It’s with sadness that we share with you that lovely Kevin, the resident peacock has sadly passed away.
To our knowledge Kevin must have been at least 25 years old and has always been ‘a part of the furniture’ at Meadowbank.
Many of you may have met him over the years whilst visiting us or followed his journey to find a lady friend after falling in love with numerous random objects around Meadowbank, in most recent years – our washing line.
We will miss our visits from Kevin at feed time, having such a beautiful, majestic bird join us daily was an absolutely pleasure.
RIP Kevin
