From West Midlands Railway:
Despite the pandemic we’re expecting that in 2021, we’ll be saying goodbye to some of our oldest diesel trains.
We will then be able to welcome the first of our brand-new diesel trains to our fleet – the Class 196. These 26 brand-new trains will strengthen our existing fleet. Made up of 80 carriages, being built in two and four car formations.
Helping to improve our railway capacity by around 25% – more carriages mean more room for you to get on and travel to wherever you need to go.
