A Herefordshire village pub will reopen this Bank Holiday weekend, with a soft launch ahead of a full reopening in the coming weeks!

The Bateman Arms, located in Shobdon, shared the following update on social media earlier this week.

“Hi everyone. We have tried our very best to make sure that the pub is open for the Bank Holiday Weekend, however we will be doing a soft launch to make sure that we dont run before we can walk. The weekend looks like this.

“Friday open 5pm till 10.30pm. Drinks only. Saturday open 12pm till 10.30pm. Food from 4pm till 8.30pm. Sunday open 12pm till 9pm. Food 12pm till 4pm. Monday open 12pm till 9pm. Food 12 till 6pm.

“We will be running a reduced menu which I will post soon, when we feel that the team are ready for more we will then move on to our full menu.

“We hope that you all understand that we wanted to get the pub open for you for the weekend and holidays.

“We want the pub to be a huge success and are always thankful for your support.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone from the village who have supported our efforts and dug deep with us, it couldn’t have happened without you.”
