You can also show off your creative skills by entering a carved pumpkin into the Hereford Carved Pumpkin Competition. Prizes are given to the pumpkins judged to be Most Spook-tastic and Best in Show, simply bring your carved pumpkin to the Hereford City Life stand in High Town between 10am and 2pm to enter. The winners will be announced after 2:30pm.

In addition, Hereford’s Scarecrow Trail is returning for another year! Throughout Half Term, 22nd to 30th October, visitors can use the LoyalFree app to travel around the city hunting for the Gruesome Groceries scarecrows hidden in local businesses. Once all scarecrows have been discovered and their riddles answered, you can collect a fun prize from Hereford Tourist Information Centre.

Lorraine Walters, Centre Manager at Maylord Orchards commented, ‘I am looking forward to the Halloween events planned in and around the city centre. There is a lot of free, freaky fun entertainment for the family to enjoy over the weekend and I would encourage the lovely people of Hereford to come out and take part, get involved and enjoy the experience. Face painters, jugglers, balloon modelling, performers and for free. Spooktacular!’

There’s lots to enjoy, so make sure you save these dates and join Hereford City Life for fantastic Halloween celebrations. More information is available at www.herefordcitylife.co.uk
