It’s not often we share fundraising appeals that aren’t Herefordshire related, but this one really did touch our hearts.

Henry Moores is currently approaching the final stage of an epic 2,400km walk from Manchester to Ibiza, to help raise money for the Tony Hudgell foundation.

Henry has been sharing videos and photos from his trip on his Instagram page, which now has more than 294,000 followers.

More than £60,000 has been raised so far, which is an amazing effort. There have been difficult days during Henry’s journey from Manchester, with the summer heat in Spain making it particularly difficult at times.

The Just Giving page that has been set up to raise money for the Tony Hudgell foundation says:

“Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

“We are so excited to announce that we will be raising money for the Tony Hudgell foundation.

“At just 7 years old Tony is a double amputee who captures hearts with his bravery, optimism, and infectious smile.

“Having endured life-changing injuries at only six weeks old, Tony continues to battle with several health conditions which require ongoing treatment.

“Henry will do this by walking from Manchester City Centre to Ibiza (2400km), this walk will take Henry around 60 days to complete all being well.

“We really appreciate everything no matter how small or large your donation every little helps because every step matters on this walk.

“It gives us great encouragement when we look at the bravery that has been shown throughout Tony’s life.

“Thanks to everyone who has supported us so far and everyone who continues to do so I literally couldn’t do it without you.”
