This Christmas audiences can enjoy screenings of The Courtyard’s 2019 pantomime, Cinderella and 2020 children’s Christmas show, Hansel & Gretel in local cinemas.

The Loft Cinema in Hereford and Gloucester Guildhall will both be showing Cinderella, which was filmed live in 2019 by Wild Edric Media, on their big screens this Christmas and Gloucester Guildhall will also be screening Hansel & Gretel, the perfect Christmas show for under 7’s.

“We’re over the moon that our Christmas shows are being screened in these two cinemas.” Said Jessica Prosser, Head of Marketing & Sales at The Courtyard. “Not hosting our usual live Christmas shows has been devastating, but for audiences to access them in cinemas or online is just fantastic! In these difficult times, it’s so important to create partnerships and work together as an industry – and we look forward to working with The Loft Cinema and Gloucester Guildhall more in the future!”

Audiences will be taken on a journey from rags to riches in The Courtyard’s annual pantomime performance of Cinderella and will enjoy a gingerbread house full of fun in Hansel & Gretelwhich boasts original songs, puppetry and lots of familiar characters.

The cinema screenings of Cinderella and Hansel & Gretel are a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy traditional Christmas shows in a safe environment while The Courtyard prepare to bring Jack and the Beanstalk back to their main stage in 2021.
