A Christmas Afternoon Tea event has been set up to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young – Kieran Joyce Memorial.
Due to COVID-19 Tier 2 regulations the event will be takeaway only, but it is still a fantastic opportunity to raise funds and to support this fantastic cause.
A post on Facebook said:
“Due to the tier 2 COVID restrictions we fall under, we are concerned that we are unable to comply to all the restrictions at our event.
We would like to offer the afternoon tea as a takeaway which we will deliver to you at your location of choice.
This will still take place on 4th, 5th and 6th of December. We can deliver anywhere in Herefordshire. (No delivery charge.)
This will still be at the cost of £25 ahead, you will still receive everything that was included. This will all be in a nice hamper..
• Homemade sandwiches
• Sausage Rolls
• Pigs in blanket
• Selection of cakes
• Prosecco
• Tea and Coffee
• Goodie Bag!!
We will be in contact with all the previous bookings. For new bookings or any more information, just give us a message.
Thank you.”

Back in September last year, the Joyce family tragically lost their fit and healthy 15-year-old son, Kieran to Sudden Cardiac Death.
A post on his memorial page, Cardiac Risk in the Young- Kieran Joyce Memorial, says:
“Losing Kieran has turned our lives upside down and we do not want another local family to experience the pain of losing their son or daughter, when it could be prevented if detected with a heart screening.
“We have started a memorial fund in Kieran’s name with CRY. (Cardiac Risk in the Young)
“For every £5,000 we raise we can book a screening team to come to Hereford for a day and screen 100 of our young adults.”
