Public Health England has released a list that reveals the order of priority for a COVID-19 vaccine.

The document that was released by Public Health England on Friday, details the age groups and other factors that will be taken into consideration.

Those with diabetes, people who are obese and people with cancer and respiratory diseases will be some of the first to be vaccinated when approval is granted.

The order of priority for a potential vaccine has been set out in nine stages:

1. Care home residents and staff

2. 80+ and health and social care workers

3. 75+

4. 70+ and ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’

5. 65+

6. ‘At risk’ groups

7. 60+

8. 55+

9. 50+
