Four-way temporary traffic lights are set to cause delays on the A49 in Hereford today.
The lights are in place on the A49 (Ross Road) near the junction for Bullingham Lane and Mayberry Avenue.
There have been delays on Ross Road for several weeks, with Cadent Gas carrying out essential maintenance works.

Cadent will be commencing work to replace a gas main on Ross Road. Our work will begin on 24 May 2025 and we expect completion within 10 weeks. Our team will be working seven days a week with extended hours to ensure the scheme is expedited.
Traffic management will be required in order for our team to complete their work safely and to protect members of the public for the duration of the scheme. Multi-way lights will be in situ on the A49 Ross Road throughout the project.
Initially, four-way lights will be placed at the junction with Holme Lacy Road and Broadleys Crescent. A road closure will also be in place on Walnut Tree Avenue at junction with the A49 with a clearly sign-posted diversion in place. Access to Walnut Tree Avenue will be maintained from alternative roads.
We expect significant delays as a result of the traffic management, please allow additional time for your journey to take this into account. We apologise for any inconvenience caused however, this is important work to ensure the safe supply of gas to the area. We will make every effort to complete the work as efficiently as possible.
Unless you have been otherwise informed, these works will not affect your gas supply.
