There is likely to be plenty of warm weather over the next few days and into next week, but there is also an increasing risk of some showers.

Saturday should remain dry, with highs reaching 24c in Hereford. Sunday will be a very warm day with plenty of sunny spells and highs of 26c in Herefordshire. There is the risk of a thundery shower during the afternoon and evening.

It is Monday where showers are most likely to affect parts of England and Wales. According to Handry Outlook, who provide forecasts for the UK, some heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible.

”A convergence line will trigger the development of widespread scattered thunderstorms across parts of England and Wales on Monday afternoon.

“Flooding due to slow moving showers are possible. Confidence with where will the convergence line develop is still low.”

The Met Office have also mentioned the risk of thundery showers as we head into the new week.

Sunday:

Another settled day though the odd heavy, possibly thundery, shower developing later. Very warm with temperatures above average for the time of year, followed by a mild night. Maximum temperature 25 Â°C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

A chance of heavy, possibly thundery, showers on Monday, then drier Tuesday with the odd shower. Dry on Wednesday with sunshine. Very warm by day and mild overnight.
