Police in Herefordshire are warning motorists to remain vigilant following recent car key burglaries in the area.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“Please be aware that car key burglaries are still happening in the area.
“Some advice we wish to give you consists of simple and easy tasks to help protect your property from criminals.
“Make sure your doors are locked, keep your vehicle keys away from view from the windows of your home. Avoid leaving your keys close to the door to your home, even when you are at home for short periods of time.
“It may also be worth using a Faraday pouch to encase your vehicle key, this pouch helps to protect against criminals using data stealing technology.
“Please report any concerning or suspicious vehicles if you see them. Examples of this would be people taking pictures of your home from vehicles or seeing a vehicle with no number plate.”
