After just over 12 years of trading, Yates Hereford will be shutting its doors on Sunday evening. The popular pub was previously known as the Litten Tree and Your Herefordshire understands that the new operator will be a Midlands based pub group.
Matt Healey who has worked as a DJ at the Commercial Road venue commented.
“After over 12 years of being resident DJ there (and 8 years before that as the Litten Tree) all good things come to an end with the closing of Yates Hereford yesterday I started out there February 2004 when it was the Litten Tree In March 2012 it re-branded to Yates and some of the Saturday nights back in the golden era were sensational and packed to the rafters.
After we went back after Covid in July 2021. I fully concentrated on the mobile business Saturday nights, so I reverted to Fridays.
Without the profile of Litten Tree/Yates I wouldn’t have built and grown the mobile DJ business which i now run, and will keep me busy moving forward with plenty of wedding and party gigs, + I will still do the odd gig in town at the Imperial Big shout to all the GMs, DJ,s doorstaff, bar staff, photographers and the customers who gave Hereford a fantastic party (theres too many to name you all and i didnt want to single anyone out, but you are all superstars)
Here are a selection of photos from the 12+ years of Yates from 2012-2024 which hold some fantastic memories for me. (Different hairstyles, fashions and teeth orthodontics over time ) It was an absolute era”
