Emergency services are in attendance at a fire in the Rotherwas area of Hereford this afternoon.
The fire is understood to be at KGD.
Residents and workers in the area have reported seeing smoke rising from one of the buildings.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Six Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – three from Hereford Fire Station and one each from Ross-on-Wye, Fownhope and Ewyas Harold Fire Stations – plus the incident command unit and the service drone from Ledbury and the water carrier from Peterchurch were called at 12:26 on 14 August to a fire in a dust extraction unit on Netherwood Road, Rotherwas Trading Estate, Hereford.Â
“The fire is being fought using one hosereel jet by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
“A thermal imaging camera and two nine metre ladders have also been deployed. Police and ambulance were also informed.”
