Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Leominster and Tenbury Wells were called to help rescue the occupants of two vans that had got stuck in deep floodwater in Eardisland.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“This afternoon, crews were called to our first WFR incident since we successfully completed our water rescue training.
“Two vans attempted to drive through approximately 2 foot of flood water in Eardisland.
“Unsurprisingly, they didn’t make it and, assisted by Tenbury Fire Station, crews had to wade out to help the vehicle’s occupants to dry land!
“Please take the time to carefully plan the route for any essential journeys you have to make, and don’t under any circumstances attempt to drive through flood water.”
