The McCarthy Stone Foundation has donated £500 to Hereford Foodbank to support its work in the local community this Christmas.
Hereford Foodbank works to stop hunger in the local area, offering nutritionally balanced food and support to families and individuals referred to their service.
Jacquie, Manager at Hereford Foodbank, says: “There are so many families in the area who are in desperate need of help through the provision of food and other items, as well as older people who are isolated and struggle to access food. This is only set to increase as we head into the Christmas season, typically our busiest time of the year. The donation from the McCarthy Stone foundation is an enormous help towards our efforts to ensure that nobody in Hereford goes hungry over this festive period.”
The McCarthy Stone Foundation supports grassroots, volunteer led charitable causes that promote the health and wellbeing of older people. It is the independent, registered charity of the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone, whose William Grange Retirement Living development can be found on Friars Street in Hereford.
