A major route is closed this morning following a serious collision overnight.
The A40 Golden Valley Bypass is closed in both directions between the A417 roundabout and the M5 junction 11 this morning.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said:
“The A40 Golden Valley Bypass is closed in both directions between the A417 (Elmbridge Court roundabout, Gloucester) and M5 junction 11 (Cheltenham) due to a serious collision.
“The incident involved two vehicles and happened shortly after 11pm yesterday (Friday).
“Police remain at the scene and diversions are in place. Please allow extra time for your journey.”
