Today, 55-year-old Nicholas Gwilliam of the Belmont area of Hereford was sentenced to a two year community order along with a Rehabilitation Course.
He must complete 30 days unpaid work and has been issued with a 5 year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and he must pay a fine of just under £300. Mr Gwilliam also has to sign the Sex Offenders Register for the next 5 years.
Nicholas Gwilliam, who lives in the Belmont area of Hereford appeared in court today, after admitting to attempting to engage into sexual communication with a child on Facebook.
The 55-year-old was caught out in a paedophile sting, with those behind the sting capturing evidence of him attempting to engage into a sexual conversation with a child. Those behind the sting were posing as a child under the age of 16 and despite being told that he was talking to a child, Mr Gwilliam continued to talk in a sexual nature. He was then reported to the police who subsequently arrested him.
