Last night Police coordinated a multi-agency operation in the Ross on Wye Area involving partners from the Immigration Service, Herefordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Herefordshire Council and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority. Three business premises and one HMO were visited.
This led to two arrests being made for Immigration offences and other Immigration matters being followed up in the coming days. It also resulted in a Prohibition Notice being served at one location surrounding fire safety concerns.
‘This operation came from intelligence gathered from the local community. We will continue to work with our partners to protect people from harm and urge anyone with concerns to call 101or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by using their simple anonymous online form’.
