One person has been taken to hospital after Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue crews from Kington were called to a property in the market town, where a carbon monoxide alarm was going off.

From Kington Fire Station:

“This morning we were mobilised to a carbon monoxide alarm operating, this had been happening over a number of days. Our crew entered the building wearing breathing apparatus and took a gas monitor.

“A reading of 20ppm was detected, living in this for hours and days could be very dangerous. The occupier has been taken to hospital for further checks.

“CO is a silent killer. Don’t ignore alarms or symptoms.”
