Hereford is a wonderful place, full of plenty of community spirit, but sadly on the odd occasion, small groups of people attempt to destroy the green areas that we all love.

Over the weekend, vandals struck at Tupsley Quarry. They damaged and destroyed benches and showed total disregard for the area.

However, the community soon rallied together, with Jim Kenyon and a group of troops descending on the quarry to clear up the mess. One of the troops was two-year-old Harry.

A post of the Tupsley and Hampton Dene Facebook Page said:

“Please share. This is Harry, Harry is two, but would like a clean, tidy park to play in and explore.

“By all means, sit, talk enjoy each other’s company, but keep the place tidy and don’t vandalise items that have been put in the park to make it a better place to visit.

“Harry is now at home having a well deserved smoothie!!”
