A message from Dr Rashid Riaz – Hereford County Hospital.
Remembering on this Easter our NHS Hero Sir Capt Tom Moore.
It is a truth that a hero always remains a hero and he never fails to inspire the awe among the people around him.
This fits well with Captain Sir Tom Moore who is a physical rendition of an old and famous adage, ‘it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.’
The one man army, the torchbearer of a proud nation, the man of steel and what not. By every inch, he is a hero and every description of every hero seems to describe his deed.
You, sir, inspired the young and old, sick and healthy alike, a real inspiration to me working as a frontline worker in a COVID ward where we needed to be optimistic and not drained out and due to you sir “Tomorrow was a better day”, you proved that a true veteran only serves, no matter how old or frail he becomes.
I thank you for your continuing service Captain on this Easter! Oh captain my captain.
Dr Rashid Riaz
