Just make sure you’re not the one driving after drinking it!
After being closed for over 400 days since the devastating floods of February 2020, the B4224 between Fownhope and Fiddlers Green will reopen today at 4pm.
Residents living in the Fownhope area will welcome the news that means they no longer have to travel miles out of their way to visit places such as Hereford.
The closure has attracted criticism from many with residents saying that they feel more could’ve been done by Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty to minimise the time the road was closed. Herefordshire Council is set to launch an independent review to find out exactly why the road was closed for so long.
Villagers even celebrated the one year anniversary of the closure back in February. Picture (Tim Williams)
