The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Herefordshire from 9pm this evening, lasting through to 3pm tomorrow (Thursday).
The warning has been issued for strong winds, although heavy spells of rain will also be an additional hazard.
The Met Office Warning says:
“Strong and gusty winds are likely to develop on Wednesday evening and continue into Thursday across England and Wales. Gusts of 50-55 mph are possible inland, especially close to showers. Gusts may reach 60-70 mph on coasts and hills, especially in the west, before gradually easing on Thursday afternoon.”
There is a possibility of localised flooding from any heavy rain, but major river flooding isn’t expected at this stage.
