A Herefordshire teenager has gained selection for the England Lacrosse Talent Pathway.
Fourteen-year-old Zoë Cripwell, who lives in Broad Oak, shone in an under-13s half-term county camp at Westonbirt in Gloucestershire.
The coaches felt Zoë was ready for the next challenge, both physically and mentally, and she has now joined England Lacrosse Girls’ Regional Academy for 2020/21.
Zoë, a pupil at Monmouth School for Girls, will be involved in the South-West Region, which is scheduled to hold its next training camp on 13th and 14th February 2021.
It is an exciting opportunity for 14-year-old Zoë because the Talent Pathway system plays an important role in raising the performance of England’s junior players and contributes to the success at national level.
Girls identified as promising lacrosse players at regional level are invited into the National Academy, which forms the England Under-19s national squad.
