Despite the ongoing pandemic, Hereford’s Odeon cinema is still open and going strong and the staff have all worked extremely hard in ensuring customers still have a comfortable and stress-free experience. Thanks to the new Odeon app, tickets are now paperless and you receive your ticket via a barcode which is sent to your e-mail address.
Staff will not let you enter the premises without wearing appropriate PPE. On entry, you first sign in via the track and trace app and then a member of staff will scan your ticket barcode. From there you are allowed to go up the escalator and go straight through to your screen.
Movies currently showing are a mixture of new releases and classics, with many of the films also being a part of the £5 super saver deal.

Tenet (2020)
Easily the biggest release still showing, Christopher Nolan’s mindbender of an action film has divided audiences since its release in July but still remains one of the best films of the year for me. A rare movie in which a second viewing is ESSENTIAL.

Pixie (2020)
One of the years most underrated flicks, this action-comedy caper is 90 minutes of pure fun and enjoyment and features some of the biggest laughs of the year. It doesn’t all work, but when it lands it really is brilliant. Think Ireland’s answer to Snatch.

Back to the Future (1985)
One of the best films of all-time, this time travelling classic is the coolest, funniest, most awesome movie going and is not to be missed on the big screen. One for all the family to enjoy.

Honest Thief (2020)
Another year, another by-the-books Liam Neeson action flick. Certainly not terrible but also nothing special, Neeson and love-interest Kate Walsh (Umbrella Academy) deliver strong performances, but the action underwhelms and the film is instantly forgettable.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Right in time for Halloween, this timeless horror is one of the finest of its genre and features a young Johnny Depp.

Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite (2020)
The only new release out right now for children and families, I haven’t seen the film but who doesn’t love Cats and/or Dogs?

The Craft: Legacy (2020)
A sequel to the 1996 film The Craft, this is the only new horror release in time for Halloween. Reviews have been mixed but looks aimed towards the teenage demographic.

Halloween (1978)
One of the best horror films of all time, Mike Myers and co return to our screens for one night only with an introduction by legendary director John Carpenter.

Alien (1979)
Ridley Scott’s suspenseful and frightening 70’s classic Alien will return to our screens next week for one night only. The fact I’ll be seeing this on the big screen is a dream come true.
