The number of patients requiring ICU (Intensive Care Unit) treatment for COVID-19 at hospitals in Herefordshire has significantly fallen, latest figures released by NHS England show.

Data up until 2nd March 2021 shows that on this date, one patient was being treated in ICU for COVID-19 at hospital in Herefordshire, this is a significantly reduction on the peak of this wave of the virus, when eight patients were receiving ICU care on 26th January.

The number of patients at hospital with COVID-19 has also fallen significantly, with Wye Valley NHS Trust figures showing that as of 2nd March 2021, ten patients were in hospital with COVID-19, compared to over 100 patients back on the 20th January.
