A pilot has died after a small plane crashed in Worcestershire, West Mercia Police have confirmed.
At 10.45am yesterday (27 August) Police were called to Woodmancote, near Defford, following reports that a small plane had experienced difficulties during take-off, causing it to descend rapidly to the ground.
Emergency services attended and unfortunately the pilot, a 69-year-old man, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Nobody else was injured during the incident.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch will now carry out an investigation.
Defford is a small village in the county of Worcestershire, England, located between the towns of Pershore and Upton-upon-Severn.
