Local professional boxer Liam O’Hare is looking to make it a double!

Having won the Midland Super Middleweight title in November last year stopping Derby’s Jack Hutsby in the 4th round, Liam fights Tom Brennan from Worcestershire for the vacant Midland’s Middleweights title on 21 March 2024.

The red carpet event in Cannock will be hosting many big names from the boxing world including the former Irish American heavyweight contender Gerry Cooney, who had that famous world title clash with Larry Holmes.

Liam’s standing continues to rise with each fight and he is described by his Manager and former promoter PJ Rowlings as a real prospect for the British title as he continues to gain experience.

Talking of his opponent, O’Hare said. “Tom seems a nice guy, he is doing great things in  his community, which I respect.

“He has had some tough fights early in his career and will have learnt from that. The fight should be a good match with both of us having coming off strong wins and I hope to be able to take things to the next level for this fight.”

Let’s hope he can bring back a second Midland title on 21 March 2024 and go on from there.
