Having won the Midland Super Middleweight title in November last year stopping Derby’s Jack Hutsby in the 4th round, Liam was due fight Tom Brennan from Worcestershire for the vacant Midland’s Middleweights title on 1 June but this got cancelled at the 11th hour with Brennan pulling out, so too his second Midland title.

Hugely disappointed but undeterred, O’Hare  wanted a testing fight to continue his progress towards a British title.

His Manager and former promoter PJ Rowlings pulled out the stops and has set up a challenge pitting Liam against the 6ft 4in aptly named “Big Ben” Thomas from Bolton, a 32 year old seasoned Light Heavyweight.

Talking of his opponent, O’Hare, 27, said:

“Ben is a big guy, with some good wins at Light Heavyweight, so I will be fighting a big man three weights above my natural fighting weight and with much greater reach.

“It is a real David versus Goliath clash but with my speed, accuracy and boxing skill, I am confident of retaining my undefeated record.”

The fight takes place at the Premier Suites, Cannock on Sunday 23 June 2024 with boxing starting at 2pm.

It promises to be quite a contest, so if you want to see Liam in this David vs Goliath clash you can purchase a ticket via the following link:
