A fundraising event has been set up to raise money for C.R.Y (https://www.c-r-y.org.uk) in memory of a popular young man from #Hereford.

Kieran Joyce, was a pupil at Weobley High School prior to his death last year.

His former school has set up a Weobley 7-11 challenge. Russ Jones has been working with Year 11 pupils Will Pugh, Leanne Hussey and Abbie Williams amongst others who requested that the school should do something to raise money for CRY, the charity which Kieran’s family are supporting.

Initially a number of staff and students were taking part in the Croc 8, https://www.thecroc8.co.uk/ which unfortunately has had to be cancelled, this was going to be a big fundraiser for the charity – so they wanted to do something else.

The challenge starts today and the school are asking that the students do something sport related 11 times a day (11 was Kieran’s football number) for 7 days and get sponsored. So this could be 11 press ups a day or 110 press ups, 11 km run or walk etc, etc…please see poster attached.

A Just Giving page has been set up and amazingly they have already raised over £1000.
