Hereford FC picked up two vital wins at Edgar Street on Saturday and Tuesday, defeating Radcliffe 3-1 and then Marine 2-1 in a nervy encounter on Tuesday evening.

In the Hellenic League Premier Division, Hereford Pegasus secured a 2-1 home win over Highworth Town, while Westfields suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Cirencester Town, in both their final league matches of the season.

In Division One, Wellington also finished their campaign with a 1-0 home defeat to Clanfield 85.

In the Herefordshire Football League, Ledbury Town and Littleton drew 2-2 on Friday night. Saturday’s results saw Kington Town win 4-0 away at Worcester City Reserves, UDA Glos record a 6-2 win on the road at AFC Worcester, Clee Hill United secure a 2-1 away victory over Ludlow Town Reserves and Pershore Town Development play out a goalless draw with Worcester United.

Malvern Town’s unbeaten run came to an end with a heavy 4-0 defeat away to Portishead Town. Worcester City were held to a 2-2 draw against St Ives Town, while Ludlow Town also drew 2-2 with Wantage Town.

In women’s football, Pegasus Ladies were narrowly beaten 2-1 away at Crusaders Women.

Ross Juniors Ladies were crowned Ross Invitational Cup champions with a 4-1 win over Wellington Ladies. In Herefordshire Women’s Football League action, Penybont United Ladies recorded a dominant 6-0 away win over Westfields Ladies.

In rugby, Luctonians recorded an impressive 41-34 win over league leaders Camborne in their final home game of the season. The thirds also enjoyed success, beating Longton 24-5 at home.

Hereford RFC were beaten 40-26 at home by Moseley Oak, while the seconds also suffered defeat, losing 17-10 to Walsall II. However, the under-18s were crowned North Midlands U18 Plate champions with a 46-36 win over Stourbridge.

Ledbury RFC enjoyed a successful trip to Droitwich, with the firsts winning 33-17 and the seconds securing a 66-48 victory.

Bromyard were beaten 52-27 at home by Worcester.

Hereford Hockey Club ended their season with two wins, as the men’s firsts defeated Marlborough 4-1 and the women’s seconds also won 4-1 against Lansdown sixths.

On Sunday, Herefordshire Raceway hosted the first round of its summer championships. After the opening round, Phoenix Clements leads the Cadet Championship, winter junior champion Joey Bates takes an early lead in the juniors and Luka Kovacic tops the senior standings.
