Delight for Luctonians as ever-present player Archie Benson is signed by Premiership club Northampton Saints.
Luctonians Rugby club have announced the following on their Facebook page.
“We are absolutely delighted to announce that after being an ever-present in our 1st XV this season, flanker Archie Benson has been signed by Northampton Saints and will join the Premiership league leaders next season.
“Archie has been immense in his performances over the past two seasons for Luctonians, and has been a big part of us achieving back-to-back highest ever league finishes.
“His move to the top level in England is thoroughly deserved and his unmatched level of hard work and dedication will surely stand him in good stead as he looks to kick on once more.
“Good luck to you Archie from everybody involved at Luctonians. We can’t wait to see what your future holds.”
Luctonians, who sit currently in 2nd place in National League 2 West face bottom of the table Dudley Kingswinfood this afternoon with a 3pm start.
